Baldwin is here! The Baldwin Gentlemen is a new international, members-only social club for professional gay men of color. We are hosting our inaugural event in Los Angeles, California. Join us for a wine hour and a panel discussion entitled "The View From Here: Experiences of Gay Men of Color in LA." Also, learn about the vision of The Baldwin Gentlemen.

Meet Our Panelists 

  Yolo Akili Robinson  is a writer, emotional health advocate, Yoga teacher and the founder and executive director of BEAM (The Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective). Through BEAM Yolo leads the cultivation of creative strategies and programs that address and support Black emotional health through a social justice lens.  In addition, Yolo is the author of the social justice themed affirmation book    Dear Universe: Letters of Affirmation & Empowerment For All Of Us , a book which led him to be named a "Health Hero" by B.E.T.   His writings have appeared in the  Huffington Post ,  Ebony, The Good Men Project, TheBody.com, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Everyday Feminisms and much more.   W:  www.Beam.community  | IG:  @_beamorg  | T:  @Yoloakili

     Dominick Bailey  is an enthusiastic southern gentlemen hailing from Blythewood, SC. He is proud alumnus of the University of Florida where he majored in Food Science and Human Nutrition. After undergrad, he attended the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and resided in Baltimore, MD for 3 years.  His residency at UC-Davis Medical Center in Sacramento is what originally brought him to California. He is currently a clinical pharmacist at UCLA Medical Center and specifically works with geriatric patients. As the inaugural clinical pharmacist for the Geriatric Service, he piloted a new pharmacy model that has now received national attention and even been featured in the Washington Post.  In his spare time, he enjoys the performing arts. He has acted in a few short films and danced with the Debbie Allen Dance Academy.

Porter  is a cultural organizer, educator, and producer with the wholehearted belief that art is at the tipping point for social change and is always excited about opportunities to facilitate the intersections of art, education, and community. He currently serves as Director of Student Programs for Greenway Arts Alliance, serving over 2,000 students in the Los Angeles Unified School District using art and creativity in and out of the classroom. Nijeul has worked in partnership with organizations such as artEquity, Center Theatre Group, The Pasadena Playhouse, Steppenwolf Theatre Company and others between Los Angeles, Chicago, and the District of Columbia.   Thornell Jones, Jr.  has been a leader in Entertainment Marketing for over 20 years. Thornell learned the business from the ground floor first as an intern and then as a Financial Analyst for Capitol Records. As a 15-year voting member of the Recording Academy, he holds 12 Grammy certificates for his work in marketing with Jill Scott, Calvin Richardson, and India.Arie to name a few. Current marketing clients include George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic and Chance The Rapper.     Jones teaches several courses at the Musicians Institute. He holds a B.A in Economics from Wesleyan University and attended the Entertainment Management program at the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
